Why You’ll Love This Peaches and Cream Margarita Recipe

Y’all, picture this: a sunny summertime BBQ with the smell of smoky ribs, delicious cheeseburgers, and grilled chicken wafting through the air. Bowls of creamy coleslaw and baked beans lining the table, and a big ol’ stack of buttery corn on the cob. Now, imagine holding this creamy peach mocktail in hand – it’s the perfect refreshing and fun drink to balance out all those bold, savory flavors! And now my mouth is watering.

This mocktail is everything I love about summer in a glass! Juicy peaches make it sweet while canned coconut milk makes it creamy. It’s just SO darn good. Plus, you can keep it alcohol-free or add tequila if you’re feeling festive – it’s totally customizable. Even better, it’s quick to whip up in just a few easy steps, and it’s naturally gluten-free with low-sugar options. I mean, what’s not to love?

Ingredient Notes

  • Canned coconut milk: Adds a creamy, luscious texture that balances the fruity flavors. Substitute heavy cream if you prefer a richer taste.
  • Non-alcoholic tequila: Brings a fun, cocktail-like vibe without the booze. Feel free to use regular tequila for a spirited option.
  • Lime juice: Adds a zesty tang that cuts through the sweetness and brightens up the drink. Fresh-squeezed is always best! You could also try fresh lemon juice, pineapple juice, or even peach juice for a little twist.
  • Simple syrup: Sweetens the mocktail to your liking. You can use whatever sweetener you prefer here. For less sugar, I use powdered monk fruit but maple syrup works beautifully too.
  • Peach puree: Made with peach slices, this is the star of the show, giving this mocktail its natural peachy goodness. Made fresh for the best flavor.
  • Sparkling water peach or lime flavored (optional): Adds a refreshing fizz and enhances the fruity notes. Totally optional but so fun!

Peach Puree

  • Large peach: The base of the puree, bursting with juicy, summery sweetness. Fresh or frozen peaches both work.
  • Powdered monk fruit: Lightly sweetens the puree without overpowering the natural peach flavor, adjust to taste. You can also use any sweetener of your choice here.

For exact ingredient amounts and instructions, see the printable recipe card below.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the peach puree: Blend one large peach (sliced) with 1 tablespoon of powdered monk fruit or sweetener of your choice until smooth. For the silkiest puree, strain through a fine mesh strainer to remove any pulp.

Step 2: Mix the drink: In a shaker or mason jar, combine the coconut milk, non-alcoholic tequila, lime juice, simple syrup, and peach puree. Stir or shake until fully combined.

Step 3: Serve: Pour the mixture into a cocktail glass over ice cubes. Top with sparkling water or ginger ale for a fizzy twist, if desired. Garnish and enjoy every sip of your creamy peach mocktail!

Mac’s Pro TipS

Expert Tips

  • If you can, use fresh peaches. The riper and sweeter, the better for that burst of natural flavor.
  • When straining your peach puree through the fine mesh sieve, use the back of a spoon to gently press the mixture. This helps push all the silky goodness through while leaving any pulp behind, giving your mocktail that perfectly smooth texture. Don’t rush – take your time to get every bit of that peachy flavor!
  • Adjust sweetness to taste preferences. Start with a little simple syrup or peach syrup and add more if needed, you can always add, but you can’t take away!

Serving Tips

  • This peach mocktail is best served fresh, but you can prep the puree and chill all the ingredients ahead of time to make assembly a breeze.
  • For a fun and fruit presentation garnish your mocktail with a few extra peaches. You could also add a lemon wedge to your glass to make it look extra pretty!
  • Top with fresh basil leaves or rosemary sprigs for some extra flavor.
  • Serve with your favorite weeknight dinners like blackened chicken, Sirloin steak tips, or BBQ chicken tostadas

Storage Tips

If you have leftover peach puree, store it in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. It’s great for smoothies or topping oatmeal, too!
