Ingredient Notes

Cheeseburger

Ground Beef: Feel free to use your favorite ground beef. 80/20, 85/15, or 93/7- whichever is your preference!

Worchestire Sauce: If you don’t have this on hand, it’s super easy to find in the grocery store. You’ll find it near the ketchup and other condiments.

Seasoning: Garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper

Cheese: I like my burgers with Pepper Jack cheese because it adds great flavor, but if you want something more mild feel free to use cheddar cheese.

Toppings: Lettuce, jalapeño slices, and crispy onions. Feel free to add tomato or other toppings if you prefer.

Jalapeno Bacon Aioli

Mayo: You can use your favorite mayonnaise, or try my 60-second homemade mayo (which is easy & delicious!).

Bacon: Cook and chop the bacon before adding it to the aioli.

Garlic Cloves: Use fresh garlic for the best flavor, peel it and crush it.

Jalapeno Pepper: Remove the seeds and use half of the jalapeno. If you want it extra spicy, add the other half as well.

Lime Juice: Fresh lime juice is best, but if you have a different version that will work just fine.

Salt & Pepper: Use salt and pepper to taste.

Mac’s Pro Tips

How to Serve: Serve these cheeseburgers with bacon aioli with your favorite sides. I recommend my crispy air fryer sweet potato fries, no egg potato salad, or my bacon ranch potato salad.

Leftovers: Store leftover cheeseburger patties in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Store the toppings and buns in separate containers. Reheat and build your burger fresh! If you have leftover jalapeno bacon aioli, store it in its own airtight container in the refrigerator and use it within a week. Try it on sandwiches, as a dip for fries, and more!

Kid Friendly: If you want to make this more kid-friendly, skip the jalapenos as a topping on their burgers. This way they can enjoy the cheeseburgers without as much spice!

Recipe FAQs

Can I make these jalapeno bacon burgers keto-friendly?

You sure can! Skip the bun and fried onions and substitute a lettuce wrap and some raw or grilled onions. The jalapeno bacon aioli is keto-friendly, as are the other ingredients. Enjoy!

What are the best-fried onions to use?

If you want to make your own crispy onion straws, I have instructions in this recipe. However, you can always buy them at the store. They’re typically called French Fried Onions or Crispy Fried Onions and they come in a can at most local grocery stores!

What else can I use the bacon aioli for?

This jalapeno bacon aioli has so much flavor and would be great with several things: as a spread for sandwiches, a dipping sauce for fries or veggies, as the base for a potato salad, etc etc.
