What Makes This Recipe Great
I am obsessed with this pretty pink strawberry sugar! I put together a gift for a friend who just had a baby and included a jar of this flavored sugar, and I just had to share it with y’all! It’s delicious, there are endless ways to use it, and it’s a thoughtful, inexpensive gift to give any time of year!
Sprinkle this delicious treat over baked goods, jazz up your favorite cocktail with a sugar rim, use it to decorate cakes or cookies, and so much more. The options are truly endless! Even better, my version is made with just 2 ingredients: freeze-dried strawberries and granulated monk fruit sweetener.
It’s low-carb and easily customizable to your dietary preferences. Swap the sugar for regular sugar, coarse sugar, Swerve, or whatever you desire!
Ingredient Notes
- Freeze-Dried Strawberries: You’ll put the freeze-dried fruit in the food processor to get them to a finely ground powder. This adds that delicious strawberry flavor to the sugar.
- Granulated Sugar: I used granulated Monkfruit sweetener because it is a zero-carb, zero-calorie sweetener that is low-carb and tastes just like sugar!
Step-by-Step instructions
- Place the freeze-dried strawberries and the sugar or granulated Monk Fruit into a coffee grinder or food processor.
- Pulse the strawberries and sugar until everything is combined and it is a deep pink color.
- Store in a glass jar and seal tightly.
- Note: I don’t recommend adding it to a Ninja bullet because it will grind it into powdered sugar.
