What Makes This Recipe Great

Traditional ranch dressing is one of those magical sauces that makes almost everything taste better. Today, I’m introducing you to my fantastic dairy-free Homemade Ranch Dressing. The quality and taste of this dressing are off the charts! It is so much better than the store-bought dressings you get at the grocery store that have ingredients in them you can’t even pronounce.

Not only is it super creamy ranch, but it also packs a punch of flavor. This dressing has simple and healthy ingredients, is super tasty, and takes just minutes to make. Simply use my homemade 60-second mayo recipe and combine coconut milk, vinegar, dried herbs, and lemon juice. Usually, I use an immersion blender, but if you don’t have one, no worries. Use a food processor to combine the ingredients until smooth and creamy.

The same delicious ranch flavor as your favorite classic ranch, but so much healthier and clean ingredients!

Ingredient Notes

This recipe has super simple ingredients and ranch lovers, you will absolutely love it! It has less than 1 net carb per serving. Use it as a veggie dip or dressing, and enjoy! See more notes and details in the printable recipe card below.

recipe ingredients in small bowls and labeled
  • mayonnaise: You can use Greek yogurt if not dairy-free. Use your favorite brand, or try my homemade mayo!
  • sea salt
  • fresh dill weed
  • apple cider vinegar, or white vinegar
  • coconut milk: I used canned, unsweetened coconut milk because it’s thicker, and I like the consistency. You can try unsweetened almond milk or another non-dairy milk if desired. If not dairy-free, you can use heavy cream or whole milk.
  • spices: You’ll need dried or fresh parsley, dried chives, garlic powder, and onion powder for this recipe, or use my homemade ranch seasoning recipe.
  • cracked black pepper

This is seriously a game changer! I have been making dairy free things for 15+ years since my son has a major dairy allergy. This dressing is way better than store bought! Thank you for coming up with this recipe! I’ve turned Hidden Valley Ranch lovers into Healthy little Peach Ranch lover’s instead! And, my son only knows what this recipe tastes like and he loves it! thanks!

I currently don’t have macros for this recipe. All of my recipes will have nutritional info by the end of the year.

OMG! How did I ever buy pre-made ranch dressing? This recipe exactly what I want in a ranch dressing and it’s so easy to make. Needless to say I go through a lot more Mayo now, lol. I have literally turned my friends and family onto this recipe and now everyone I know makes their own too. I even adapted it to make it into a blue cheese dressing by omitting the chives and dill and added in blue cheese. So so good!!!

I am obsessed with the unhealthy ranch at restaurants, I am so so happy I tried this! It is so much better than the unhealthy stuff and so so so tasty and delish! Thank you!

I love love love this ranch! I’m doing an elimination diet but with eggs so this recipe was perfect. It’s so hard to find good tasting ranch without gums, soy and other additives so this one is a real winner!! Mine came out super thick more like a dip but I was totally ok with that! I think I used more mayo than the recipe called for (I used the Mayo linked in the recipe so I just used ~half of what that made). I added original oat milk (which to me is basically flavorless) and thinned it a bit versus using coconut milk.

I made this ranch tonight for the first time and girl, it’s amazing!! Seriously the best ranch I’ve ever had! I’m making this every Sunday with meal prep and never going back to a packet or store-bought again.

  8. Myra says:

Reading the reviews and people mentioned eggs in the recipe? I’m not seeing eggs listed in the ingredients. When do I add the egg and how many eggs are needed?

    1. Ashley McCrary says:

      Hi Myra,
I can certainly see how that is so confusing. The ingredients note to use 1 cup of my compliant Mayo. The recipe for the compliant mayo is where the egg is added. Thank you for the question. Hope this helps.

I made the ranch dressing thinking it probably would be as good as it sound. It was fantastic! The caution about overuse is real. I had to watch how much I used at one meal. I wanted to use it on everything!
