We’re Having a Tiny Human…..AGAIN!!!!!

YES! We did it, we’re having another tiny human and we are over the moon with excitement! April showers will bring Baby Mac #2 and this time around is so different in many ways. I remember 5 years ago like it was yesterday when we were trying to conceive Eloise. There was this indescribable heartbreak of wanting a baby, but being unable to conceive for a long time. There is no hurt like wanting a baby and watching everyone around you get pregnant while you have to sit back and watch in total disgust. During this time, I was battling a yo-yo diet, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), and a lot of life transitions. Now, this time around my body has healed with the help of the Whole 30 program and God has truly blessed us in getting pregnant the FIRST try, that’s right friends, the first try….I can’t even believe I am saying that. PCOS use to rule my life, but here I am 5 years later and we BROKE up and I feel like a fierce and strong woman.

This pregnancy was truly an answered prayer. Due to my back issues, my doctor put an urgency on having another child before undergoing surgery. We are all aware that this is going to be a very difficult pregnancy, but we are so ready to face this challenge and meet our beautiful gift. If we weren’t blessed with getting pregnant now, having another baby probably wouldn’t have been in our future. I give all the credit to God and also to the Whole 30 program. This is the biggest NON-SCALE VICTORY I have ever encountered during my 3 1/2 years of living this new Whole 30/Paleo lifestyle.

Ladies, if you are struggling with PCOS or conceiving a child, there is HOPE, this is coming from a lady who was a completely broken 5 years ago. I remember sitting in a dark room, crying and questioning, “why ME?”  I know some of you may be in this same dark place and I pray that you find an answer and peace in whatever battle you are facing in trying to conceive. Do your research and jump on the Whole 30 bandwagon and just give it a try. It will change your life in so many ways and help you find total clarity in living a healthy and whole life.  Once you understand that this program is not only about changing the number on the scale but truly healing your body, then you have the ammunition you need to take control of your life. Y’all, this program healed what medicine couldn’t, and here I am almost completely free of the burden of PCOS.

Now, back to this pregnancy and all the details. My doctor has recommended that I gain around 20 pounds to relieve any extra stress that will be put on my back. Friends, I invite you to come along with me and follow this beautiful journey and learn how I am going to incorporate Whole 30, Paleo, Clean Eating, and fitness to have the healthiest pregnancy possible. I will also be sharing our nursery design and all of my favorite maternity and baby items. Follow along on Instagram, Instagram Stories, and Facebook @healthylittlepeach.

If you want to know more about my journey to health, make sure to check back soon. I am working on a post that goes from my childhood to adulthood, the challenges I faced, what finally changed my mind and how I SAVED myself. This is going to be a tough post, but I am looking forward to finally sharing my whole story.
