Mac’s Awesome Sauce

This recipe is not only delcious, but it is one that is near and dear to my heart. I grew up with a fabulous southern grandmama who probably was the best cook around. Her food always made me feel warm and loved. She always used this “special mayo” on everything and it was to die for! Unfortunately, the sauce she created is not Whole30 or Paleo compliant, so I worked up a new version. I am so excited I created a version that would keep her memory alive and fresh while living Whole30. Anytime I make this sauce I get chills and a smile comes to my face and I can almost smell my grandma standing right beside me.

My version of the sauce is called, Mac’s Awesome Sauce and it is beyond delicious and it gives bland food a kick of flavor. I use it on top of burgers, drizzled on top of veggies, and as a dressing for salads. I also have many recipes on my blog that I have incorporated this sauce. Check out my Creamy Baked Tomatoes, Bacon Wrapped Stuffed Peppers, and my Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms.

I hope this sauce can find a special place in your heart and home because it sure holds a special place in mine.

  • Living right outside of Philadelphia cheesteaks are a staple around here. When going dairy free I thought I was done eating them, but this sauce changed that for me. It’s so good and I didn’t feel like I was missing out on one of my favorite treats.
