How to Air Fry Eggs

Tools & Ingredients

  • Raw Whole Eggs
  • Ice
  • Water
  • Air Fryer
  • Wire Rack
  • Large Bowl

Instructions

  1. Place the eggs on the wire rack that came with your air fryer. If you do not have a rack, no worries, just place them in the bottom of the air fryer
  2. Set the temperature to 300F and cook for 14-15 minutes. This time will make the yolks firm and not runny. If you like your hard-boiled eggs more soft boiled/runny, I recommend cooking for 12-13 minutes.
  3. Once the eggs are finished cooking, remove them from the wire basket and transfer them to an ice bath to stop the cooking process.
  4. Peel and enjoy!

Peachy Tips & Tricks for Hard-Boiled Eggs in the Air Fryer

Pro Tips

Wire Rack: Use a wire rack to prop up your eggs in the fryer. You can still cook them in the air fryer without the rack, but I prefer using the rack to make my air fryer hard boiled eggs.

Ice bath: Place the air fryer hard boiled eggs in an ice bath once they have finished cooking. This makes peeling them so much easier.

Meal Prep: Make a big batch on Sunday, and store them in an air-tight container for an easy grab-and-go breakfast or snack option.

Storage

You can store boiled eggs either peeled or unpeeled. Either method will last about one week in the fridge.

Un-Peeled: The best way to store unpeeled hard-boiled eggs is to keep them in a covered container in the refrigerator.

Peeled: If the eggs have already been peeled, keep them moist by placing a damp paper towel in the bottom of the container. Place the boiled egg on the damp paper towel and then place another damp paper towel over the top before covering with the lid.

FAQs

Is it better to peel hard boiled eggs when they are hot or cold?

First, you want to stop the eggs from cooking any longer, so it is best to take them from the air fryer and soak the cooked eggs in an ice bath for about 5-10 minutes. After that, they should be cool to touch and peel very easily!

How long do you cook hard-boiled eggs in the air fryer?

This will depend on how runny or firm you like the egg yolks. For me, I love cooking for 14 minutes on 300F. This will get your yolks firm and not runny. For more of a soft boil (runnier yolks), I recommend cooking on 300F for 12 minutes. Remember, all air fryers cook differently, so you may need to play around with the time.

Are boiled eggs keto friendly?

Yes! With less than 1 carb per egg, these air fryer boiled eggs are a great low carb addition to any meal!
