I love adding matcha to my diet because it is has a lot of health benefits. Matcha is high in catechin called EGCG (epigallocatechin gallate), which is believed to have cancer-fighting effects on the body. Studies have linked green tea to a variety of health benefits, like helping to prevent heart disease, type 2 diabetes and cancer, and even encouraging weight loss. These are all great reasons to enjoy matcha even more.
What you’ll need for this Iced Matcha Latte:
- Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
- Matcha Green Tea Powder or Vital Protein’s Matcha Powder
- Vanilla Extract
- Coconut Whiped Cream
- Sweetener of choice (Optional) I use Monk Fruit Syrup for Keto, but for Paleo you can also use Honey or Maple Syrup.
- Blender
Top Tips:
- Make sure to use high quality matcha powder. This will make a big difference in the taste. My favorite brands are Vital Proteins and Jade Leaf.
- For additional sweetness add these: Monk Fruit-Keto, Honey or Maple Syrup-Paleo. Omit sweeteners all together to make this Whole30 compliant.
