What Makes This Recipe Great

A traditional mojito cocktail is loved for its refreshing taste and simple ingredients. It originated in Cuba but has been a staple on bar menus in the US for a long long time. The muddled mint, fresh citrus, and fizzy sparkling water– the flavors make it such a light and refreshing drink. Today we’re putting a little twist on this beloved classic cocktail and making a Kiwi Mojito

The best part about this drink is that it’s delicious and perfect both as a cocktail and a mocktail. Since I’ve been sober, I’ve been trying to come up with tasty and fun drinks that are great with alcohol, but just as good without. These drinks are far from boring, and I’m so proud to be able to share them with you!

Ingredient Notes

recipe ingredients with a pink backgrounf
  • kiwi slices: Peel and dice slices of kiwi to make it easy to muddle.
  • fresh mint leaves: Plus a sprig of mint for garnish.
  • fresh lime juice
  • maple syrup: Substitute simple syrup, agave nectar, or powdered monk fruit. Adjust sweetness to taste.
  • pineapple juice
  • lime sparkling water: I used Topo Chico, but feel free to use your favorite brand. You can also use club soda or soda water if you want.
  • ice cubes
  • white rum: Or you can use non-alcoholic rum. Light rum is best for this recipe, I don’t recommend using aged rum (dark rum).
  • garnish with lime wedges
