Ingredients You’ll Need

  • Coconut Water: The hydration hero. Naturally rich in electrolytes like potassium, it helps replenish what your body loses through sweat while keeping things light and refreshing. You can also sub filtered water or decaf green tea, but coconut water gives you the biggest electrolyte boost.
  • Blood Orange Juice: Freshly squeezed blood orange brings a bold citrus flavor with a hint of sweetness. It’s also packed with vitamin C and antioxidants to support overall hydration and immunity.
  • Lime: Adds a bright, tart kick that balances the sweetness and keeps the drink crisp and refreshing. Adjust based on how strong you like that citrus bite.
  • Salt: Just a pinch of mineral-rich salt (I love Celtic Sea Salt) helps replace sodium lost through sweat and supports proper hydration.
  • Honey or Maple Syrup: A drizzle of natural sweetness to round everything out. You can also swap in your favorite sugar-free sweetener if preferred.

How to Make This Blood Orange Limeade

Add the peeled lime, coconut water, 1 tbsp maple syrup, and salt to a blender and blend on high speed for 20–30 seconds. In two glasses, pour in the blood orange juice and stir in 1 tablespoon of maple syrup in each. Fill the glasses with ice, then slowly pour the blended mixture over the top for a layered look. Garnish with a blood orange wedge.
