Air Fryer Chive and Onion Carrot Chips
Lately, I have been obsessed with air frying all of my veggies, especially, carrots and radishes. I literally could live on my new Chive and Onion Carrot Chips dipped in my homemade ranch dressing. They taste like a sour cream and onion chip, but in a healthy way. These are also kid and husband-approved!
How to Serve These Carrot Chips?
I could eat these for breakfast, lunch and dinner they are so good. Below are my top ways to enjoy them!
- Quick snack with my homemade ranch
- Appetizer
- As a side dish
- On top of a salad
What is the Best Air Fryer to Purchase?
Iโve used the GoWise brand for almost 2 years now and I wonโt ever go to another brand. I used to have the 5.8 qaurt and recently upgraded to the 7 quart. It was the best decison to upgrade beause it is large enough to where I donโt have to cook in batches. If you are debating on size, GO FOR THE 7 QUART!
Below is the air fryer I love and recommend:
What Are The Best Carrots To Buy
I always go for the bag of carrot chips that are all ready pre sliced and washed. I usually find them at Walmart in the produce section with all the bagged baby carrots. I’ve added a photo below for reference. If you can’t find these, no worries at all. Simply buy a pound of carrots and slice diagonal into 1/4 inch slices.
Can You Cook These In The Oven?
If you do not have an air fryer, you can absolutley cook in the oven. Below is a step by step!
- Preheat your oven to 450 degrees F. Line a large rimmed baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Transfer the carrot slices to a large bowl and toss with olive oil and the rest of the seasoning. Mix until all carrot slices are coated.
- Spread the carrot slices in one layer on the prepared baking sheets. Bake until browned and crispy, about 20 minutes. Flip halfway through cooking
- If the carrots are not evenly sliced and some slices are still not crispy, remove the crispy ones to a plate and continue baking for about 5 more minutes to crisp up the thicker slices. Watch them closely to make sure they donโt burn.

Notes
- All air fryers cook different so feel free to add additional cooking time depending on how crispy you want your chips.
- I like buying the carrot chips already cut in the bags available in the produce section of most grocery stores.
