I used to love a classic Cherry Limeade from Sonic, but this Watermelon Limeade? She’s fresher, naturally sweet, and doesn’t come with any of the added dyes or artificial stuff. Whether you need a quick refresh after a workout or a fun mocktail to serve at your next BBQ, this all-natural, Gatorade-inspired drink is a total win.

Why You’ll Love This Healthy Hydration
Y’all have been loving this Homemade Gatorade series! This is the 15th flavor I’ve shared, and it just might be one of the most crowd-pleasing yet. If you’ve missed any of the previous drops, they’re all saved in my “Homemade Gatorade” highlight on Instagram.
This flavor is light, juicy, and super hydrating. And the color alone is worth a pour!
Ingredients You’ll Need
- Coconut Water: The base of this drink, coconut water is full of potassium and natural electrolytes, making it perfect for post-sweat hydration. It’s subtly sweet and super refreshing on its own.
- Watermelon: Juicy, cooling, and naturally hydrating, watermelon adds body and natural sweetness. It blends beautifully for that smooth, summery texture.
- Lime Juice: This gives a tangy brightness that cuts through the watermelon’s sweetness and adds a zesty finish. If you like bold citrus flavor, try tossing the whole peeled lime in the blender.
- Salt: Just a pinch helps replenish sodium lost through sweat and makes this drink functionally hydrating, not just tasty.
- Honey or Maple Syrup: Optional but helpful if your watermelon isn’t super sweet. Just a touch rounds out the flavor and provides a little energy.
