Watermelon Limeade Gatorade

I used to love a classic Cherry Limeade from Sonic, but this Watermelon Limeade? She’s fresher, naturally sweet, and doesn’t come with any of the added dyes or artificial stuff. Whether you need a quick refresh after a workout or a fun mocktail to serve at your next BBQ, this all-natural, Gatorade-inspired drink is a total win.

Ingredients

  • 2 ½ cups coconut water can substitute filtered water or decaf green tea, but coconut water is the best option for hydration
  • 2 cups watermelon
  • 1 whole lime juiced (or peeled and added whole for a stronger lime flavor)
  • ¼ - ½ teaspoon salt I use Celtic Sea Salt
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • Ice for serving
  • Lime wedge for garnish
  • Watermelon wedge for garnish

Instructions

  • Add the coconut water, watermelon, lime juice (or peeled lime), salt, and honey or maple syrup to a blender.

  • Strain the mixture and pour over two glasses filled with ice.
  • Garnish with a lime wedge and a slice of watermelon. Enjoy!
