Why You’ll Love This Tropical Beach Gatorade

Y’all have been loving this homemade Gatorade series (I’ve shared 14 flavors already!), and if you’ve missed any, they’re all saved in my “Homemade Gatorade” highlight on Instagram. Today’s recipe is bright, beachy, and easy to prep in a big batch so you can enjoy it on the go.

I mix the tropical base in my HydroJug before heading out, then build each glass beachside for a little extra sparkle. It’s made with real fruit juice, coconut water, a pinch of sea salt, and lime. No artificial dyes, no weird additives – just clean, functional hydration that tastes like vacation!

Ingredients You’ll Need

  • Coconut Water: Nature’s sports drink! It’s full of potassium and natural electrolytes to help replenish and rehydrate on hot days.
  • Pineapple Juice: Sweet, tangy, and loaded with vitamin C and bromelain. Perfect for that tropical vibe and a little digestive support.
  • Orange Juice: Adds natural sugar for quick energy and a familiar citrus burst we all know and love.
  • Lime Juice: This zesty splash of citrus ties everything together and enhances hydration with a bit of added vitamin C.
  • Salt: Just a pinch helps restore sodium lost through sweat. I love using Celtic Sea Salt for its trace minerals.
  • Maple Syrup or Sweetener (Optional): Just a touch, if you want to mellow the tang and add a little extra fuel.
  • Pomegranate Juice + Sparkling Water: These go in last to add a gorgeous ombré finish and a little fizz, because we’re fancy like that.

How to Make a Tropical Beach Mocktail

Step 1: In a 40 oz jug, mix together the coconut water, pineapple juice, orange juice, lime juice, salt, and sweetener (if using).

Step 2: To serve at the beach: Fill a cup with ice and pour in the tropical juice base until the glass is a little more than halfway full.

Step 3: Top with a splash of pomegranate juice, a little sparkling water, and garnish with a lime wedge. Enjoy chilled and refreshed!
