Y’all, I’ve been having the best time sharing this series with you – and today’s flavor might just be my favorite yet. Introducing Purple Haze, a vibrant, all-natural electrolyte drink inspired by those old-school sports drinks (but without the dyes or junk). It’s a fruity, refreshing blend of grape and coconut that’s perfect for poolside sippin’ or post-workout recovery.

After sharing 12 other flavors, this one is one of the most fun to make, and so pretty too. If you’re catching up, don’t worry! I’ve saved every flavor in my “Gatorade Inspo” highlight on Instagram.

Ingredients You’ll Need

  • Coconut Water: Naturally rich in potassium and electrolytes. Keeps things ultra-hydrating and clean.
  • Lime: Adds a bright citrus zing. Use a whole lime for a bold pop or half for a softer finish.
  • Toasted Coconut Chips: Bring a warm, tropical vibe and light nuttiness.
  • Salt: Just a pinch helps replenish electrolytes. Celtic Sea Salt is my go-to.
  • Honey or Maple Syrup: Adds a touch of natural sweetness to round things out.
  • Grapes + Grape Juice: Blended into a purée, they create that bold purple base and deliver juicy, antioxidant-rich flavor.

How to Make It

  • Step 1: In a wide-mouth jar, blend the grape purée ingredients (grapes, grape juice, and sweetener) using an immersion blender until smooth. Set aside.
  • Step 2: In a separate blender, combine the coconut water, toasted coconut chips, peeled lime, salt, and sweetener. Blend until smooth.
  • Step 3: Fill two glasses with ice and add about 1/2 cup of grape purée to the bottom of each.
  • Step 4: Slowly strain the coconut mixture over the grape purée to create a layered effect.
  • Step 5: Stir gently before sipping and garnish with a lime wedge and fresh grapes, if desired.
