Hawaiian Punch Homemade Gatorade
A healthier ’90s throwback! My Hawaiian Punch Refresher blends cherries, strawberries, pineapple, and citrus with coconut water for natural electrolytes. Lightly sweetened and super hydrating.
Ingredients
- 4 cups coconut water: can sub filtered water here or decaf green tea) However coconut water is the best option as it’s a natural electrolyte.
- Juice of 1 lemon + 1 lime
- 1 cup cherries fresh or frozen
- 1 cup strawberries
- 1 cup pineapple
- 1 medium red apple
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2-3 tbsp maple syrup
- 1/4 cup orange juice per glass added separately or blend 1 large orange, peeled to the fruit mix
Instructions
- Add the coconut water, lemon and lime juice, cherries, strawberries, pineapple, apple, salt, and maple syrup to a high-speed blender. Blend on high for 30–60 seconds, until completely smooth.
- Strain through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a pitcher to remove pulp (optional, but recommended for a smoother drink).
- Pour over ice. For a layered look, slowly pour about 1/4 cup orange juice over the top of each glass. Garnish with an orange wedge and fresh cherries, if desired.
