Skip the store-bought stuff and make my all natural Orange Gatorade instead! It’s bright, citrusy, and loaded with electrolytes – basically everything you need to stay hydrated without the artificial junk. It comes together in minutes and tastes like a tropical sunrise in a glass.

Y’all have been loving the homemade strawberry and kiwi flavors I shared the last couple of weeks, so I figured it was time for a new twist. This citrus-forward version might be my favorite yet! It’s smooth, zesty, and gives real Gatorade vibes without the extra sugar or mystery dyes.

A glass of homemade orange Gatorade-inspired drink with a vibrant citrus color, served over ice and garnished with a cutie wedge. Set against a sunny kitchen backdrop with fresh oranges and limes scattered nearby.

Ingredients You’ll Need

  • Coconut Water: A natural source of potassium and electrolytes, coconut water gives this drink a light sweetness and helps replenish what your body loses through sweat.
  • Aloe Vera Juice: This one’s a secret hydration MVP. It’s soothing, mineral-rich, and adds a clean, fresh finish. You can also use decaf green tea here if that’s what you’ve got on hand.
  • Cuties (or small oranges): Sweet and juicy, these little citrus gems are full of vitamin C, natural sugar, and just the right amount of pulp to make the drink feel extra fresh.
  • Lime Juice: Adds a tangy zip that balances the sweetness and brightens every sip. Lime also packs in its own set of electrolytes.
  • Salt: Just a pinch helps your body retain hydration and replaces sodium lost during workouts or hot summer days.
  • Honey or Maple Syrup: A natural way to sweeten things up and give you a quick energy boost, no refined sugar needed!
  • Ice: Makes it extra cold and refreshing.
  • Lime or Cutie Wedges: Totally optional for garnish.
