Course: dips, Sauces/Dressing
Cuisine: American
Diet: Diabetic, Gluten Free
Method: No Cook
Servings: 16 tbsp (1 cup)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cottage cheese sub-Greek yogurt or dairy free yogurt
  • 2 tbsp homemade ranch seasoning
  • 1-2 tbsp milk of choice + more to thin out
  • 1 1/2 tbsp pickle juice
  • 5-6 pickle slices I used hamburger slices from Grillos
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill in addition to the dill in the ranch seasoning

Instructions

  • Add everything to a blender and blend until smooth. I recommend mixing in the blender over the food processor because it has a smoother consistency.
  • Store in a jar with a lid in the refrigerator. This ranch will last as long as the expiration date of the cottage cheese or Greek yogurt.

Notes

Expert Tips

  • Cottage cheese has such a mild flavor that it takes to the seasonings SO well! Greek yogurt is also a great option.
  • If you’re dairy-free, use your favorite non-dairy yogurt. I’d recommend using something other than coconut-based yogurt for best results.
  • I recommend mixing this salad dressing in a blender over a food processor because it will yield a smoother consistency.
  • To make a creamy ranch dip with a thick texture, lower the amount of pickle juice added. If you want to thin it out even more, add an additional splash of milk or a little water to the blender until your desired consistency is reached.
  • There are 4 grams of protein per 2 tbsps of this healthy ranch dip/sauce.

Serving & Storage Tips

Serve with salads, sandwiches, wraps, and more! Use as a dip for potato chips, pita bread, or fresh vegetables like cucumbers, bell peppers, broccoli, snap peas, cauliflower, cherry tomatoes, celery sticks, baby carrots or carrot sticks, and more.
Store in a mason jar with a lid or another airtight container in the fridge. This ranch will last as long as the expiration date on the container of cottage cheese or Greek yogurt.
