Easy Sirloin Steak Tips with Horseradish Cream Cheese

Steak Tips
- 2 lbs beef sirloin or tenderloin tips cut into bite-sized pieces
- 3 tbsp avocado oil divided
- 2 tbsp butter or ghee can sub vegan for dairy-free
- 3 whole garlic cloves
- 2 red onions sliced into half-moons
- 4 pita bread cut in half
- salt and pepper to taste
Horseradish Cream Cheese
- 8 oz cream cheese dairy-free or regular
- 1-2 tbsp horseradish sauce
- salt and pepper to taste
Cut and Season The Steak: Cut the steak against the grain into cubes. Season the steak pieces with salt and pepper.
Preheat Skillet: Preheat a cast iron skillet or skillet of choice over medium-high heat. Add 2 tbsp avocado oil and let it heat until simmering.
Sear the Steak Tips: Place the steak tips in the hot skillet, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Cook in batches if needed. Sear the steak tips for 2-3 minutes on each side or until they develop a nice crust. Adjust the heat if necessary to prevent burning.
Add Butter and Garlic: Right before the steak is done cooking add in the butter and whole garlic cloves. Allow the garlic cloves to sit and simmer in melted butter for 30 seconds. Mix in the steak tips. Season again with salt and pepper if desired.
Sauté Red Onions: Place a skillet or sauté pan over medium heat. Add a tablespoon of avocado oil to the pan. Allow it to heat up, but be careful not to let it smoke. Once the oil or butter is hot, add the sliced red onions to the pan and season with salt. Spread the onions out in an even layer to ensure they cook evenly. Stir the onions frequently to prevent them from sticking to the pan and to ensure even cooking. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until they become translucent and start to caramelize.
Heat Pita Bread: Heat the pita bread as desired, in the oven, air fryer, or toaster.
Make Horseradish Cream Cheese: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, horseradish, and salt/pepper.Use a spatula or hand mixer to blend the ingredients thoroughly. Ensure an even distribution of horseradish throughout the cream cheese
Assemble: Add the cream cheese spread to the pita along with the red onions and steak tips. Enjoy!

You can serve these delicious sirloin steak tips in a variety of ways. I’ve paired them with pita bread, grilled onions, and horseradish cream cheese as a fantastic appetizer, snack, or easy meal.
You can also serve them on a platter with toothpicks and horseradish cream cheese on the side as a dipping sauce. Some other ideas include atop a salad, stuffed in a sandwich roll, alongside roasted veggies, potatoes, and more!
Storage Tips
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days. Reheat your steak bites in the microwave for a couple of minutes or the air fryer for 3-4 minutes at 350F.
Store the horseradish cream cheese in a separate airtight container for up to a week. Use with your leftover steak tips or as a dip with other meats and veggies.
