Ingredients

Deviled Eggs

  • 8 large boiled eggs ,cut in half
  • 1/2 cup Mac's Awesome Sauce
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 2 pieces bacon (no sugar added)
  • paprika , for garnish
  • fresh chives ,for garnish

Mac's Awesome Sauce

  • 1 cup mayo
  • 1 tbsp yellow onions ,chopped
  • 2 tsp coconut aminos
  • 1/4 tsp of salt (add another 1/4 tsp if needed)
  • 1 tsp pepper

Instructions

  • Place eggs in a single layer in a saucepan and cover them with water. Heat on high until water begins to boil, then cover with lid and turn the heat to low. Cook for a minute or two. Remove from heat. Leave the eggs covered an additional 13 minutes.
  • In a large bowl, add ice and water then transfer the boiled eggs into the water. Allow to sit for a minute or so.
  • Place the peeled eggs on a paper towel to dry. Once all eggs are peeled, slice each one in half lengthwise, removing the yolks and transferring to a medium bowl, placing the whites on a platter. In the bowl with the yolks, mash into a smooth crumble using a fork.
  • To the yolks, add 1/2 cup of Mac's Awesome Sauce, vinegar and salt and pepper. Mix together until combined evenly.
  • Pipe through a pipping bag using a tip or you can also spoon the yolk mixture into each white egg half. Garnish with fresh chives, paprika and crispy bacon.

Mac's Awesome Sauce

  • Add all the ingredients to a medium size bowl and combine with a spoon. This recipe calls for 1/2 cup and this recipes makes 1 full cup of Mac's Awesome Sauce. Store leftovers in fridge for up to 1 week.
