Dragonfruit Refresher Homemade Gatorade
If you’re looking for something refreshing but a little different, this Dragonfruit Refresher is it. It has a smooth, subtly sweet flavor with a hint of citrus and just the right touch of tartness. Coconut water keeps it naturally hydrating, while a squeeze of lime and a pinch of salt help balance everything out.

Electrolyte Mix
- 2 ½ cups coconut water can sub filtered water here or decaf green tea However, coconut water is the best option as it’s a natural electrolyte.
- 1/2-1 lime peeled and jucied (if you like it strong, do a whole, do a half for less of a punch)
- ¼–½ tsp salt I use Celtic Sea Salt
- 2 tbsps honey or maple syrup
Dragonfruit Purée
- 1 1/2 cup dragonfruit fresh or frozen
- 2 tsps maple syrup or honey
Add coconut water, lime juice, salt and sweetener of choice to a shaker bottle and shake until combined.
Add 1/2 cup of dragon fruit purée to the bottom of two glasses filled with ice. Slowly add the coconut mixture over the top for a pretty layered look. Stir and garnish with a lime wedge!
