Dragonfruit Refresher Homemade Gatorade

If you’re looking for something refreshing but a little different, this Dragonfruit Refresher is it. It has a smooth, subtly sweet flavor with a hint of citrus and just the right touch of tartness. Coconut water keeps it naturally hydrating, while a squeeze of lime and a pinch of salt help balance everything out.

Ingredients

Electrolyte Mix

  • 2 ½ cups coconut water can sub filtered water here or decaf green tea However, coconut water is the best option as it’s a natural electrolyte.
  • 1/2-1 lime peeled and jucied (if you like it strong, do a whole, do a half for less of a punch)
  • ¼–½ tsp salt I use Celtic Sea Salt
  • 2 tbsps honey or maple syrup

Dragonfruit Purée

  • 1 1/2 cup dragonfruit fresh or frozen
  • 2 tsps maple syrup or honey

Instructions

  • Add coconut water, lime juice, salt and sweetener of choice to a shaker bottle and shake until combined.
