Frozen Banana Snickers Recipe

These Frozen Banana Snickers Bites feature banana slices smothered with peanut butter, caramel, and peanuts drizzled with melted chocolate, then frozen for the ultimate ice cream candy bar treat! A healthier option that still satisfies your sweet tooth!

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup peanut butter or PB2 powder mixed with water
  • 3 large bananas
  • ¼ cup peanuts chopped
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips melted with 2 tsp Coconut Oil
  • Optional: sugar free or regular caramel for drizzle

Instructions

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Peel bananas. Cut them in half and then slice those halves vertically. Line the baking sheet with bananas in a single layer.
  • Melt the chocolate chips and coconut oil in a microwave safe bowl in 15 second intervals.
  • Spread 1 tablespoon of the peanut butter on top of each sliced banana followed by the peanut butter, caramel (if using), crushed peanuts and drizzle with the melted chocolate
  • Sprinkle another touch of crushed peanuts on top of the chocolate.
  • Place the bananas in the freezer for 2 hours or overnight. Store any leftovers in an airtight, freezer safe container in the freezer. Allow to thaw for 5 minutes before eating.

Notes

Expert Tips & Variations

  • Use white chocolate if desired. This recipe will also work with other crushed nuts, such as walnuts, almonds, cashews, etc. 
  • For a dairy-free or vegan version of these frozen banana snickers, use vegan chocolate chips and vegan caramel like date caramel. Or omit the caramel altogether. 

Storage Tips

Store in a freezer-saft, airtight container in the freezer for up to 3 months. Thaw at room temperature for 5 minutes before serving.
