Notes

Recipe Variations

There are really a million ways to make Ritz cracker sandwiches that are both for kids and adults! Plus, the spider part is so easy that it doesn’t really matter what the contents of the sandwich are. Here are some fun ideas in addition to the cream cheese and jam I used in this recipe.
  • Meat & Cheese: Slice of ham or turkey or other deli meat, a slice of cheese like cheddar or Colby jack or Swiss cheese, a bit of mayo, and/or Dijon mustard for spread.
  • Peanut Butter & Jam: Your favorite nut butter, seed butter, and preserves or jelly!
  • Cucumber & Cream Cheese: A bit of cream cheese on both sides and a thinly sliced cucumber in the middle.
  • Meatball & Mozzarella: Marinara on both sides and a thin slice of fresh mozzarella and cooked meatball.
  • Spreadable Cheese: Cheese whiz on both sides for a cheesy, nostalgic homemade Ritz cracker sandwich!
  • Chocolate Marshmallow: Nutella spread on one side, marshmallow fluff on the other!
These cracker sandwiches are easy because they are no-bake, but you can always pop them in the oven for a bit to get them warm and golden brown. You can also drizzle some melted butter on top and add seasonings, poppy seeds, onion flakes, salt and pepper, etc.

Serving Tips

  • Serve this spooky spider platter of Ritz cracker sandwiches at your Halloween party or gathering. Or send them to school as a treat for the class.
  • If you choose not to do the spider, these can be served year-round!
  • You can also put them in your child’s lunch for a fun alternative to regular sandwiches.

Storage Tips

  • Store leftover Ritz cracker sandwiches in an airtight container in the refrigerator and eat within 2 days for optimal freshness.
